Economic Development

Welcome to Augusta Township

Augusta Township, a community of opportunities, truly is a great place to live and work and to enjoy life’s many pleasures. Augusta is one of the oldest townships in Ontario with roots dating back to the 1700’s. Here you will find historic houses and ultra-modern estates. Augusta communities include Algonquin, Domville, Maitland, Maynard, North Augusta and Roebuck – click here to see some footage of our expansive Township.

Our township is perfectly placed along the St. Lawrence River in the south eastern Ontario. Augusta is also home to many thriving large and small businesses and agricultural operations.  Are you considering opening or relocating your business to The Township of Augusta?  View this link to hear from a few of our local businesses.

The program helps you:

  • support local businesses so they can grow, create jobs and stay in your community
  • write and implement an action plan to foster business development, investment and job creation
  • collect business and market data to support economic development planning
